Hi, my name is

Not Slim Shady, but Roberto Gardenier. Also known as Caroga. I was born in Brazil and raised in The Netherlands. You can generally find me in the Rotterdam area as well as in Utrecht, even though (and to many disbelieve) I do not live there.

I work as a Freelance Backend Developer, mostly with PHP. I'm interested in many areas of development. In my spare time I organize 010PHP and make videos.

Why the blog?

Why not? I've been programming ever since I was in my first year of college. To extend my knowledge on the matter of different programming methods/patterns/languages/anything I used information made available on blogs from others. In a nutshell: people sharing their knowledge is what helped me getting more skilled in what I do.

This is my way of trying to give back to the community.

Don't worry, I also like to make music, watch all kind of movies and hang out with my friends, so this blog most likely will not only include development stuff.
